Meet Madeleine
CERTIFED EXECUTIVE COACH
I help you reconcile your career with everything else that matters in your life.
My story
A decade of launching careers
I have spent over a decade working within several post-secondary environments launching high-performing students into their careers. From resume reviews, mock interviews, networking strategy and employer outreach, I've done it all and I can help you navigate the job market.
Interdisciplinary research
I have conducted graduate-level research within a professional services setting. I subsequently presented my research at several national and international conferences on the intersection of second-language abilities and entry-level employment in the legal community in Montreal.
Navigating matrescence
I became a mother just before the pandemic hit, navigating my matrescence during lockdowns. I then spent a significant portion of my second maternity leave living in Belgium in an ancient UNESCO heritage site.
Why I became a coach
With the end of my last parental leave looming, I sought for a way to ensure that my time spent apart from my kiddos not only provided an income, but provided me with a feeling of purpose and meaning. I had dabbled in coaching trainings, and knew that it was in this level of deep discourse and connection that I wanted to spend my time. Thus, upon returning from Belgium, I embarked on the journey to become a certified executive coach through Royal Roads University.
How I work today
I have developed and integrated several one-on-one and group executive coaching programs within the context of my employment in a post-secondary institution. I take private clients on top of my full-time job because I love working with individuals who are truly motivated and engaged in the coaching process. These hours together bring me tremendous energy and fulfillment.
Bringing parents together
Inspired by the common threads I see woven amongst my one-on-one clients, I run group coaching programs to bring folks together in a community-based learning environment. Currently, I am inspired to help parents reconcile their career and parenting ambitions.
My approach and who I work with
I love working with people who understand, or are curious about, the coaching process. Those who don't want advice, but rather a thought partner to walk alongside them.
My clients include established and emerging leaders, corporate and legal professionals, entrepreneurs, newcomers to Canada, parents navigating career and parenthood, and professionals in higher education and healthcare.
My coaching style is warm, direct, and grounded. I listen to you, deeply. I challenge you, gently. I champion you, fully. I celebrate you, always. I bring a gift for words and imagery to our conversations, creating space for you to go below the waterline and uncover your own authentic solutions.
I welcome any and all intersections of you, and I am deeply committed to continuously championing diversity, inclusion, equity, and belonging.

-
I have lived, worked or studied in five different countries and I speak English, (rusty) French and (decent) Italian.
-
To coach and be coached is to unfurl and expand, much as we see ferns do when we walk along a forest trail. Ferns are also a nod to my West Coast roots.
-
As a new Italian citizen, I am comfortable in saying: the best pizza in Canada is at my house.
I am committed to an ongoing and continuous reconciliation journey as a settler living on Treaty 7 lands (so-called Calgary, AB). There are pieces of my heart around the world, but the biggest piece stays close to the Salish Sea, amongst the ferns, where I grew up.
Let’s connect.
I offer a complimentary 30-minute strategy session to explore whether we're suited to working together. Let's connect and see how coaching can support your goals.
